Sunday afternoon Juice

Mixing it up a bit.  Cucumber, half an apple, green chard, romaine, and kale.

It's a Volcano!

I added ingredients gradually this time.  Started with the cucumber and apple, then added a few green leaves at a time.  The resulting veloute was smooth and luxurious.  Or at least not glumpy like the last few times.

The taste of this juice was much much different.  It is much sweeter than what I'm used to.  I'm just not sure how I feel about the sweet + savory combination.

Saturday afternoon drink

Dandelion greens, curly parsley, celery, lime.

My Knifework is getting very good.

Two Layers: chopped-salad-like on the top, juice at the bottom.  A green-parfait, if you will.

Not too bad, but I think adjusting the order of blending, amount of water, and varieties of fruit (instead of / in addition to lime) that I use will make a big difference.

Two layers takes a long time to eat, which only works on a saturday afternoon.  Oh, the indulgence!

A Start.

Convenient, but expensive and i'm unsure what nutrition is lost by virtue of it probably not being organic, and not being made every day or two at home.  Does have the very strong benefit of the recipe being optimized for easy consumption, though, so no overly strong accidental flavors.

A great start, though, and a very good replacement to the M&M's and Red Bull I had been having for breakfast in the couple weeks before I adopted green juice.

I experimented with shelf life a little bit, and after about a week or two it starts to taste sour and rotten (unsurprisingly).
